DIY IPOD/IPHONE WALLPAPER

I am starting to use my old Ipod more, and I've gotten tired of my Ipad wallpaper. Time to design! I wanted a unique, colorful, and hand-drawn looking one. I also wanted it to be really simple and easy to make! I made a few and you can download them all, but if you read on there is also a tutorial on how to make your own!

Download this Bright Blue Chevron Wallpaper! Here.

Download this wavy Lime Green Wallpaper! Here.

Download this Light Springy Yellow Wallpaper! Here.

So hopefully you're thinking this is nice but you may be thinking"Ok, hey this is pretty neat but I don't like yellow," Or,"great colors, but chevron is my nemesis".  So if chevron is you're nemesis, listen up! You need to get the best drawing app I've found: Sketchbook Express Pro! It really is amazing and I use it to give all my rough sketches a finished look.
Click the paintbrush at the top of the screen, then the fill effect ( the paint can) and move around your circles on the righthand side to get your color.

I love this color, my skin would be lime green if it could... maybe thats not such a great idea though.

To draw your design I chose the 3rd utensil down on the lefthand side. I thought any other colors besides neutrals might just about be prone to seizures so I'm sticking to neutrals from this point on.

Remember, I am trying to keep this fun and not perfect. Mistakes gives it character, rather than the perfect and clear (not unique) wallpapers other people have.

Give it your little signature, those are my initials (obviously).

Now set it as your wallpaper and you have a unique and fun thing to cheer you up when you click the on button! I like alternating all the different wallpapers too! If you need more inspiration, I also made these:

They aren't my absolute favorite, but I do like them. Polka dots are so cute and fun that they pretty much look good anywhere :). Thanks

    1. Ok, try searching sketchbook mobile. If you still can't find it, another great app is called Procreate.

  5. I just installed Sketchbook Pro on my Mac to see if I like it. I've been looking for a decent program to draw on because the Photoshop Elements that came with my Bamboo is crap IMO. I'll have to try out the app as well. Thanks for the tip!

  6. OMG! Just played around with the program for maybe 5 minutes and I'm seriously considering buying it! It's such a huge contrast from what I'm used to working with (PE). The lines are actually smooth (or smoother because my hands aren't that steady) and there are so many more types of brushes. Plus it's only $59! You honestly do not know how long I've been looking for a program to draw with (I had a trial of AI, but I couldn't use the vector, but loved the blob brush, but that's too damn expensive). You get my awesome award o' the day!
